The festive season is a time of brightness and joy, when the Christmas spirit spreads throughout the hotel and sets the stage for an unforgettable celebration. After a year of work we want to show you the renewed image not only in accommodation but also in gastronomy and leisure with proposals designed by and for our neighbours and friends of Marbella.

Our chef Manuel Ortiz has created festive menus, showing the best Mediterranean cuisine in a perfect setting for the festive celebrations.

As in every Christmas menu, on this occasion we could not miss the starters to share, an individual dish to choose, a delicious dessert and a wide selection of drinks and wines that will turn your event into a feast.

Christmas Eve: one of the most special nights of the year deserves a special menu

One of the central elements of Christmas Eve is gastronomy. To the charm of enjoying such a special night with the family, we have to add the intimate atmosphere of the Alameda Restaurant with a tasting menu prepared for the occasion: mini salmon tartar with bacon powder, vegetable gyoza with mango sauce, tartlet filled with foie mousse with chocolate peta zeta… where there will be no shortage of spoon classics such as Vichyssoise with truffle aroma and candied mushrooms, hake with green sauce on carrot and ginger purée or Iberian pork tenderloin stuffed with sherry wine sauce with potatoes and baby vegetables.

Christmas Brunch

This December 25th, Óbal Urban Hotel becomes the place to share laughter and projects around a late breakfast, without rushing. From 13:00 h to 16:00 h, in addition to the classic selection of juices, sweet and savoury suggestions and hot dishes, there will be typical Christmas dishes and a glass of cava, as always, using the best fresh produce from local suppliers.

We are waiting for you to enjoy this gastronomic proposal in a family atmosphere, accompanied by the soft notes of the cello by Alesia Baltach.

New Year's Eve

After several years without massive parties, without chimes in public squares, without getting together with all our loved ones in this exciting period of the year, we are looking forward to welcoming 2024 with a good New Year’s Eve party at Óbal Urban Hotel. Smiling, having fun, being superstitious, toasting, eating grapes, putting on our best clothes… there are many gestures that commemorate the last and most special day of the year.

At Óbal Urban Hotel we believe it is very important to celebrate the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. For this reason, we have prepared something very special for you and your loved ones, the best way to start the year. Elegance, class and distinction for a magical new year.

New Year's Eve Dinner

At the Alameda restaurant we have prepared an unforgettable New Year’s Eve menu, with the best quality products prepared by the best chefs.

The menu will open with a welcome glass of Champagne Michael Arnould (Best Champagne Petit Larousse des Vins Award) as it is necessary to toast to the good omens, and a list of individual appetizers such as mussels in orange pickle, coca de foie with red fruits, scallop ceviche, octopus parmentier, mini skewered beef yakitori and mini duck bao with sweet and sour mayonnaise …. all in mini format because it goes on! .

The next dish to arrive at our tables is a seafood bisque to temper the body. It sounds delicious and our mouths are watering. Next up is the black turbot with saffron velouté and vegetable pearls, an unmistakable blend of flavours! A Yuzu sorbet to “clear the throat” and to top it all off… beef sirloin with mushroom sauce and truffled potato cake.

The sweet tooth is not forgotten, the Sweet Sinful Óbal is a soft Madagascar vanilla and red fruit tart. We hope you’re not reading these paragraphs at lunchtime. 😊

As 00:00h on 31 December 2024 approaches and your nerves are on edge, you will receive a cotillion bag and we will shake hands with you to accompany us to the sky… Welcome to 360º BLUE SKY BAR ROOFTOP.

The penthouse of Óbal Urban Hotel is waiting for you… quickly, take the grapes and your glass of cava and look for the Clock of the Church of La Encarnación, because the grapes are coming.

Once we have eaten the twelve grapes, be careful not to choke, we can continue enjoying the rooftop with drinks, music and fun.
